Calangute High Street, Goa...Our starting point

Hi Guys, Just a quick note to update you all on our travels and the fact that I like doing this sort of thing. It is a bit impersonal but how else does one write to many.
All amounts are in UK pounds Sterling
On the Technical side of life:

I could not imagine being without the Rugby world cup so I bought a USB Dongle for wireless internet for 35.70 with 10GB usage over 30 days and then found a program called Expat Shield which sets up a VPN so British TV could not detect that I was out of the country (they block you because they detect your IP address as being away), then comfortably watched the matches on the laptop with ITV Player but only suitable around 10.30pm to 8am otherwise the data rate is too slow. Gosh it really is putting a smile on my face!
Description of the Photos below:
(Left top to bottom then right top to bottom)
1. Packing the bikes on the farm in Surrey with clothes and ground sheets in a vacuum bag slung over the top bar to protect from the wheels either side.
2. Packed the bikes in bike cartons and 10 panniers in two hold all cheapy bags then two carry on panniers with the camera and laptop in them etc.
3. Set up the bikes in Calangute Goa where we have rented a bungalow for a month and off to see old haunts like Anjuna beach in the background.
4, Mary looking at the Don Juao where we stayed for the Millenium period 2000
5, Indians flock to the beach from Mumbai and strip down to their underpants then splash around not realizing they cannot actually swim so the life guards have to keep a close eye on them.
6. Breakfast with Masala Dosa at 1.00 for all you see. (All shots are in a restaurant) and even with 10 percent inflation they are the prices we just love.
7. More Dosa as we love it so much and again 1.00 for the the two plus two drinks for 50p.
8. Dinner with a full Thali plus a salted Lassi and a soda, all for 3.50.
9. Lunch in Anjuna with a Biryana and a egg chopsy and lassi and soda 3.25.
10. Watch out for the cows as we head back into Calangute, Goa.

We are both getting major dental work done and also world wide vaccinations along with Mary getting some fancy varifocal glasses so we will be around here for a month with lots of cycling into the countryside full of lush vegetation and wide open beaches. Damn hot however and very humid at around 33 degrees each day with sunny skies, whow what a difference.
