We got all our vaccination shots done privately in the UK and Ireland in 1997 for a total cost for the two of us £798.00 which is very expensive so in 2011 we had some done by a complete idiot at the NHS Walton on Thames Medical Centre in Surrey. She was totally disorganised and was sick for two weeks and would misplace our notes and did not give us much confidence but then that is the NHS.
The rest we decided to get done in Goa India at our expensive because there is no free medical however the costs were much lower than the UK even though they are the same drugs e.g. Glaxosmithkline Mumbai vs UK and the Yellow Fever shots were French hence the high cost.
See below the comparison and judge for yourself. Remember however that it is more convenient to use a local private clinic in your country but only if you need to keep workiing and have little time for running around and being pushed from hospital to hospital in India or elswhere and whether you can tolerate the incompetent Government run health systems.
Cholera is also free on the NHS but not available in most clinics because they say just drink bottled.
It makes you laugh that trying to get a vaccine for Encephalitis is impossible in India and yet they currently have a major problem with it in some parts including Karnataka and Utter Pradesh.
We have now given up trying to find a vaccine for it so get it in the UK or where ever you are. Click above to enlarge
