Profiles of Rob and Mary
Robert Morrison was born 1954 at Wellington New Zealand. His father was a singing teacher and his mother, an artist. They have both passed on now. He has an older brother and sister. Robert has had many jobs since leaving secondary school at fifteen years of age, most recently (1997) he has owned a sound equipment hire and sales company as well as a car stereo company, both of which were sold. Mary Morrison, formerly Mary Quinn was born 1953 at Westport County Mayo, Ireland. Her father (now passed on) being a farmer all his life, lived with Mary's brother on their farm in Ireland. Her mother died when she was nine so Mary was brought up by her grandmother until she left secondary school and headed for London then Australia, where she met Robert. They then moved to New Zealand and settled there for twenty three years bringing up two children who have now grown up and left home, leaving Mary & Robert free to cycle the world.
