As AV is Audio Visual and encompasses many areas it is necessary to give a background before specifics as the background has helped immensely in the ability to understand concepts of modern AV.

I learned violin for ten years and piano for four as well as singing Professional Opera for six years after which it was Rock bands professionally for fifteen along with the daytime careers as listed below.

During that period I was a Hi-fi enthusiast owning such systems as Quad Electrostatics in the seventies through Tannoy monitors JBL Century 100's, ESS Rock Monitors along with large power amps of 300w rms as early as 1974

More recently in the late 80's I purchased and installed an NEC three Gun Video projector with electric 10ft screen plus a large Boston Acoustics Dolby 5.1 system into my new home. I have not been involved in any other industry for forty years other than just about every aspect of electronics and electrics.

6. 1975 Broadcasting Engineering Technician with NZ Broadcasting corporation

7. 1981 Amalgamated Wireless of Australia. Supervisor then Manager of Car Audio Manufacturing

8. 1986 Started Impact Sound as part-time RocknRoll Sound equipment company.

9. 1986 Leatham Electronics NZ. Selling Professional Audio equipment and electronic components to trade.

10 1987 Started Rapid Radio Wgtn Ltd with car audio installations to the trade only.

11 1989 Became The Car Stereo Company providing full custom audio fittings to general public.

12 1990 Expanded to Impact Productions providing supply and installation services to Pubs, Clubs, Restaurant, Luxury launches (boats) All services were in conjunction with Car Stereo Co. Including 12 volt audio systems for large crowds as a mobile service.

13 Supplied and installed the following systems: 40 JBL and Bose system to "Shed 5 Restaurant" plus 100volt line system with powered subs to large Italian restaurant and bar. JBL Audio with NEC projectors and screens to "The Realm" restaurant and bars. Three areas fitted plus Karaoke systems. 14 1997 Sold businesses when youngest child turned 20yrs and travelled extensively for three years.

15 2000 Started with Marcom Audio Visual presentations in White City as Hire Coordinator then became freelance with many conferences and BBC jobs carried out including everything from powerpoint presentations to Plasma and projectors for BBC e.g. Saturday Lotto, and studio comedies and shows.

16 2001 Started with Projection and Display Services to design and implement complete rebranding of company and update some inventory.

18 Specific experience: Complete confidence in appraising quoting and implementing Audio Visual Installations both domestic and commercial and the professional ability to actually perform the installation short of major building work and some routing of cabling within brick or concrete or the like.

19 Currect weaknesses are: Some new product "product knowledge" but I grasp this easily. Crest computer programming has not been tried but am sure with present computer skills that this may be achieved. I have not used some of the latest Digi-beta equipment nor have I worked on studio visual mixing equipment.
